Las Vegas, the city that never sleeps started as a Mormon city at 1855 when a little group of Mormons arrived to city in order to protect the mail road between Los Angeles and Sult lake city but eventually they worked at farming and mines.

In 1864 Nevada joined United States as the 36 country; afterward the first railroad was built in the city. In 1905 the first casinos appeared in the city among with other stores and restaurants; in 1910 Nevada put gambling out of law but the gambling continued underground.

In 1931 the law has changed and gambling was legal again, thousand of unemployed and people who lost their job because of the economic crisis of 1929 in USA came to Las Vegas to work at the casinos and the city started to grow.

One of the people that saw the potential in Vegas was Benjamin Segal who's better known as "Bugsy", a Jewish gangster that was sent to Hollywood by the mafia and fell in love with Vegas in the way. He decided to invest all the mafia money in the city and built a biggest casino and hotel in Vegas. Until then the casinos in Vegas was small and poor, the costs of building was higher than Bugsy planned and he used more mafia's money. This is what casinos looked like, before online gambling establishments replaced land casinos.
